A graduate of Goddard College (1979), Oglander worked at Studio L’Atelier in Nashville from 1982 to 1990, where he developed the visual language that continues to define his practice. Throughout his career, he has been represented by respected galleries including Alice Bingham Gallery in Memphis, Neville Sargent Gallery in Chicago, and Allyn Gallop Contemporary Gallery in Sarasota, among others.
His work is held in numerous private, corporate, and public collections, including the Tennessee State Museum and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Recent exhibitions include presentations in New York’s Hudson Valley and Catskills region, including participation with New Release Gallery and NADA Foreland.
Oglander currently lives and works with artist Evamarie Pappas in an 1880 carriage barn studio in Treadwell, New York, where they create original paintings, ceramics, and mixed-media works. Their studio is open year-round by appointment and during select regional art events.
